Farm machinery manufacturers will be bringing their tillage, boomspray and sowing equipment to the biannual Demonstration Day at Elmore next month.
It will be held at the Elmore Events Centre on Wednesday, March 15, from 9.30am.
With multiple tillage machines, boomsprays, spreaders and sowing machines and many relevant static display sites already entered, the 2017 Demonstration Day will be a ‘must attend’ opportunity for farmers, grain growers and cropping operators from north-central Victoria and the southern Riverina.
Elmore Field Days president Derek Shotton said the objective of the specialised equipment and technology event was ‘‘to assist cropping and cultivation-based farmers to evaluate their forward capital investment plans for tillage, sowing and spraying equipment for the following cropping season’’.
‘‘In short there is plenty to see with the emphasis on the working demonstrations in the field, with each machine allocated time for an explanation of its features and its role in a cropping enterprise, followed by a test run of the equipment,’’ Mr Shotton said.
The Demonstration Day at the Elmore Events Centre is a biannual event typically well supported by farmers and equipment manufacturers, their local dealers and distributors.
The day will be an important opportunity for cropping operators to see the evolution of the latest equipment and to watch a number of new releases demonstrated.
Participating exhibitors will also be available to give working demonstrations of their equipment to interested farmers on request.
Each machine will also be on display for inspection and further discussions.
Entry is free to the public. A barbecue lunch and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
