    Dairy prices held well at last week’s autumn-calving sale.

Dairy prices held well at last week’s autumn-calving sale run by agents Mulcahy Nelson and Flanagan Marketing Services at Shepparton Regional Saleyards.

Agent Lawrie Flanagan reported that the most pleasing aspect of the sale was the way prices held from start to finish.

The average price for the 186 head sold in the multi-vendor sale was $2118, with a $394000 gross.

Travis and Sherrena Thompson of Wagga sold 36 cows for an average of $2093, Di Mangan of Tongala sold 12 Holstein heifers for an average of $2375 and Mark and Charles Mitchell of Undera sold 15 head for an average of $2206.

McDonalds of Moyhu sold 25 head for an average of $2202.

The top price of $2600 was achieved by Barwoview Partnership.
