Do you remember when this Zebra or Tiger Car serviced the Rushworth, Stanhope and Girgarre rail line twice, weekly?
Bob Holschier and Shirley Armstrong submitted this great photo and believe the rail car went to Caolbinabbin as well.
“We have been told it was a large converted 1939 Dodge Car which carried nine passengers and sometimes pulled a four wheel trailer for goods, luggage and mail. We also believe it was withdrawn from service on 30 July 1952.”
If you remember when the rail car was in service or maybe you remember travelling on it get in touch with us at [email protected]. We would love to get and incorporate your memories in the mural.
