Well-known South Korean brand Kioti is now a preferred supplier for tractors and UTVs at The Farm in Byron Bay.

The Farm at Byron Bay currently has three Kioti tractors and two Mechron UTVs from KC Farm Machinery in Lismore, NSW.

Visitors and online viewers at The Farm can catch on-site action with the 80hp RX8030 tractor and loader; the 42hp CK4210 with loader and backhoe, and Kioti’s smallest tractor, the 26hp CS2610 with mid-mount mower.

The Mechron UTVs include four-seater and two-seater models.

The Farm, brainchild of Tom and Emma Lane, is a working example of their philosophy to grow, feed, educate.

As general manager, Johnson ‘Johno’ Hunter’s overall responsibilities for the farming side of the operation are to ensure it is run organically, efficiently and in keeping with their mission for sustainable, regenerative farming.

Produce from The Farm’s market gardens, cropping operations, cattle, pigs and chickens is sold through the highly-rated Three Blue Ducks restaurant, co-owned by chef Darren Robertson, a judge on the popular Channel 7 series My Kitchen Rules.

With half-a-million people a year coming through The Farm’s gates, the goal is to turn these educational opportunities and experiences into a real understanding of ethical sustainable farming practices.

‘‘It was exciting to get Kioti on board late last year. We knew about their reputation for reliability and we were blown away by the quality of these machines and how versatile they are. And they are so easy to use,’’ Mr Hunter said.
