Creightons Creek Rural Fire Brigade will unveil an honour board later this month to recognise all those who have served as firefighters and auxiliary members.

The unveiling of the Honour Board of Office Bearers 1949-2017 will be a first for the Creightons Creek brigade.

‘‘It’s a new honour board. We have not had one before,’’ Creightons Creek CFA communications officer Kerri Brook said.

‘‘There will also be service member medals awarded, with the longest being 55 or 60 years service.’’

The unveiling will see several guest speakers talk about the brigade’s history as well as the presence of a special vehicle.

‘‘The original fire truck will be there,’’ Ms Brook said.

The board will feature the names of members who have served the brigade between 1949 and now, along with the position they held and the years they held that position.

The unveiling ceremony will be on Saturday, May 20 at 1489 Creightons Creek Rd, Creightons Creek at 2pm.

Anyone associated with the brigade is welcome to attend.
