While most of the country celebrates the Queen’s Birthday, the Euroa Urban Fire Brigade will mark its own milestone.
The Euroa brigade will celebrate its 125th year with a three-day event from Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11.
The Friday will feature a torchlight march beginning at 7.30pm at the Strathbogie Shire offices and finishing at the Euroa Memorial Hall, where a fireworks display and barbecue will be held.
The highlight of the weekend will be a dinner on the Saturday, starting at 6.30pm at the Mercy Centre in Euroa.
Tickets are still available for $30 each and can be purchased at the Euroa Newsagency. They include live entertainment, music and a two-course meal. BYO drinks.
On the Sunday, the celebrations will conclude with an open day as the Euroa Fire Station opens its doors from 10.30am to 3pm, with firefighting appliances and demonstrations on display.
