Goulburn Valley Water will offer free tours of the Tatura Water Treatment Plant to interested members of the community next week.
A boil water notice was issued for the town in May and GVW’s Education Officer, Kristy Elrington, said the tour was a way for customers to learn more about the treatment process and how GVW provides safe drinking water that meets health standards.
Kristy said “the guided tour will cover where Tatura’s water comes from, how it is treated, how it gets from the treatment plant to your house and where it ends up.
Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator, Wes Wilkie and Operations & Maintenance employee, Warren Gaylard will also be on site to discuss their roles behind the scene of the boil water event.
The Tatura Water Treatment Plant continues to provide safe drinking water which meets health standards and a tour of the plant will be held on Wednesday 12 July.
