    More than 20 firefighting units were needed to fight a blaze at Rankins Rd, Strathmerton on November 13.

More than 20 firefighting units were needed to fight a blaze at Rankins Rd, Strathmerton on November 13.

The fire was called in at 3.55pm and involved silage rolls, which were in a bunker with tyres on top.

The fire was reported to be travelling in a northerly direction towards Strathmerton, but no threat to communities was reported.

Twenty-two trucks attended including units from Strathmerton, Katunga, Shepparton, Yarroweyah, Naring, Waaia, Drumanure, Muckatah, Numurkah, Cobram, Mooroopna and Nathalia.

The fire was under control by 7.50pm.
