All towns supplied by Goulburn Valley Water will have an easing of their water restrictions to Permanent Water Saving Rules from November 20.
Goulburn Valley Water technical services general manager Bruce Hammond said the shift to the lowest restriction level was a direct result of the improved water resource situation.
"Our allocation is sufficient to supply all our customers with water in accordance with the PWSR and allow for us to carry over some water for next year," Mr Hammond said.
He said the permanent water savings regime still promoted responsible use of water outside the home. The key elements are:
No watering between 10 am and 5 pm, the hottest part of the day;
A trigger nozzle must be fitted to a hose to wash a vehicle; and,
No hosing of hard surfaces (for example driveways, paved areas).
Mr Hammond said the PWSR provided customers with flexibility in their water use but responsible use was still encouraged.
