Work has begun on the Devenish silo art project, with Melbourne-based artist Cam Scale creating a mural to represent the community's strong connection to the First World War.
The idea was the initiative of the Devenish community, led by local farmer Kevin Mitchell, who said he is delighted to see the project come together.
“The local community has supported this idea with their time and donations and we look forward to it giving a real lift to the area," he said.
Painting started on the silo on Wednesday April 11 and is expected to take two to three weeks.
