A woman and teenage boy have been arrested after a month-long investigation into theft of livestock from northern Victoria, which resulted in the eight Speckle Park calves stolen on June 7 being found.
Members from Victoria Police’s Eastern Region Crime Team, with assistance from regional detectives, executed warrants in Colac and Werneth this morning.
The warrants were simultaneously executed about 7.30am and a 53-year-old Colac woman and a 17-year-old Werneth boy were arrested and the pair continue to assist police with their enquiries.
The eight Speckle Park calves which comprised of a heifer and seven bulls were stolen from a dairy farm on Blamey Road, Yarroweyah.
Sheep stolen from the Shepparton Regional Saleyards on May 19 have not yet been recovered.
