G-MW water delivery services general manager Warren Blyth said good winter rainfall and early seasonal determinations, as well as a large amount of water being carried over in most systems, would provide for a strong irrigation season.
Following the completion of a multi-million dollar winter works program next week, G-MW will charge the channel system in all irrigation areas to ensure water is available to deliver at the start of the season.
“This important maintenance and refurbishment has been undertaken to keep the delivery system running at peak efficiency in readiness for the upcoming season,” Mr Blyth said.
“The outlook for 2021-22 water availability is looking promising with the catchments generating good flows into the storages at present.”

Irrigators can go to WaterLINE, the 24-hour online and telephone water ordering system, to order water from August 12, find out their allocation account balance and manage their accounts.
“Customers are able to self-manage their orders and usage, and have access to a water planner 24 hours a day, seven days a week, during the irrigation season,” Mr Blyth said.
“Our staff are available via WaterLINE to answer queries and assist customers with the start of the gravity irrigation season.”
