Forum tackles canola

By Country News

Local grain growers will have the chance to discuss and have input into their industry’s research, development and extension investments when a Grains Research and Development Corporation forum is held in Dookie next week.

Members of the GRDC’s staff, Southern Regional Panel and Regional Cropping Solutions Network are hosting the interactive forum, which southern Regional Cropping Solutions Network co-ordinator Jen Lillecrapp said was another way for the GRDC staff, Regional Cropping Solutions Network and panel members to listen to growers and discuss relevant RD&E investments, activities and opportunities.

The focus topic of the Dookie forum will be strategies to optimise canola yield and profitability, with NSW DPI research agronomist Rohan Brill leading the discussion.

The forum will be held on Monday, June 18, at the Dookie United Football Club from 9am to 12.30pm, followed by lunch.
