By Country News

More than 100 people from across the country and some from New Zealand attended the Goulburn Murray Jersey Breeders Club Diamond Jubilee dinner.

Held at the Shamrock Hotel in Numurkah on May 29, the dinner allowed group members to reminisce about the 60 years of the club’s existence.

Guests were entertained by comedian and bluegrass singer Pete Denahy.

As part of the 60th anniversary celebrations, awards were given out.

Jersey Australia presented Waaia’s Richard Maloney with a distinguished service award, Numurkah’s Margaret Cockerell was awarded life membership and Numurkah’s Barbara and Richard Scoones were awarded a 50-year stud award.
