Shepparton dairy numbers down

By Country News

A downturn of entry numbers in the Shepparton Show dairy section on Saturday reduced competition, but the cows that did compete were of high quality.

Taking out Senior Champion and Best Udder in both the Jersey and Interbreed sections was Lara BBC Silvermine, owned by Erin Cullen of Tatura.

Also in the livestock and poultry pavilion on Saturday, show-goers were able to befriend Boer goats and Scottish Highland cows, admire the ducklings and winning chicken entries and watch the inaugural ferret races.
