Pony club rallies, with lots to jump for

By Country News

The Kyabram Pony Club is back in full swing after its summer break in December and January, and held its first rally of the year recently.

The rally was attended by guest instructor Sally Fitzgerald. Activities undertaken were polocrosse, show jumping, games and flat work.

The club already is celebrating this year, with two of its youngest members — Ivy Aikman and Emily Walker — both winning events at the recent Barastoc Horse of the Year at Werribee. Long-time rider, instructor and parent Nadine Edwards received the Mooroopna Australia Day Sports Award for her nearly 40 years’ service and involvement with the club.

The next rally will be held on Saturday, March 3, from 10am at the Moora Reserve near Rushworth.

The club will hold its annual general meeting on Wednesday, March 14, at 7.30pm at the Kyabram Showgrounds clubrooms.
