Katamatite resident Mitch Fox has been appointed Equestrian Victoria board chair, vowing to expand services in the area and grow regional equestrian communities.
Mr Fox, who owns and operates Marzel Park along with his partner Nicole Touzel, said he was honoured to be selected to lead the board and replace Peter Dunne, who has taken over the role of Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre committee chair.
‘‘Our focus will be to strengthen our industry leadership, develop the sport of equestrian in Victoria, as well as supporting our members,’’ he said.
As well as currently holding the EV Administrator of the Year title, Mr Fox has previously chaired the EV Show Horse committee and been a board director for the past three-and-a-half years.
The Goulburn Valley has long been a hub for horse enthusiasts, and Mr Fox is excited to bring more opportunities to the area.
‘‘I look to expand the services provided in our area and further cater for our regional equestrian communities,’’ he said.
‘‘Sport growth and participation is very important and I look to increase this across all sections of EV membership.
‘‘The position of chair will help me to achieve this.’’
