Applications are now open for round four of the Young Farmers Scholarship Program, with young farmers encouraged to apply.
During the course of the program, which launched in 2015, 38 young farmers working across the agriculture supply chain have received scholarships to study areas including primary production, business management, research and technology.
‘‘These important scholarships are helping equip the next generation of agricultural leaders with the connections and the business skills they need to survive and thrive in a competitive global market,’’ Victorian Agriculture Minister Jaala Pulford said.
Up to $10000 is available for farmers and farm workers aged 35 years or under to help them with professional development and career progression.
This includes $5000 for study, backed by a further $5000 to invest on-farm or in professional development activities to help put new skills into practice.
Applications close on April 24.
