Numurkah District Health Service and the Numurkah Rotary Club have teamed up to provide an information session on men’s health.
The night will focus on improved awareness by men of the importance of maintaining health, the importance of men regularly seeing their GP — especially those aged above 45 — and raising awareness of local services.
The night will also attempt to reduce the stigma around mental health and asking for help, with former AFL player Heath Black sharing his experiences with depression and how he is managing the condition.
The men’s health night is on Friday, June 15 at the Numurkah Town Hall, Knox St, Numurkah from 6pm.
