Victoria Police Eastern Regional Crime Squad detectives are keen to reunite the rightful owner with a number of calves that were recovered by police this month.
Two calves were seized by police as part of an ongoing investigation into stolen livestock.
Police were told the animals were stolen from a property somewhere between Shepparton and Heathcote overnight on June 7.
Investigators have released images of the sky-blue ear marking tags worn by the calves, in the hope their owner will recognise them.
‘‘The calves are kindly being cared for until we can reunite them with their owners,’’ Constable Baldwin said.
A Werneth boy, 16, has been charged with theft and will appear at a children’s court on a later date.
