Pubs, hotels and restaurants across the country are lending a hand to drought-affected farmers in NSW and Queensland, donating $1 from every parmigiana sold to Rural Aid’s Buy a Bale campaign.
The Parma for a Farmer campaign has seen hundreds of businesses jump on board, including dozens in the Goulburn Valley and Southern Riverina.
The money raised will go towards hay for NSW and Queensland farmers, with $20 buying a small bale of hay and helping transport it to the affected areas, while $100 buys a large bale of hay and helps transport it.
Funds are also being used to pay for petrol, hampers and water.
