Preparations are continuing for the 55th Elmore Field Days, with volunteers participating in the event’s annual peg out day.
Dozens of people were hard at work pegging out sites in preparation for the three-day event which begins on October 2.
Students from Rochester Secondary College also attended last Wednesday’s event to lend a hand.
Public relations officer John Giffin said it was great to see everyone come together to help out the community.
With more than 700 exhibitions, heritage horse demonstrations, shearing and wool-handling demonstrations, live music and the beloved ag art competition, Mr Giffin said there would be plenty to see.
The event falls in the school holidays for the second year running, and organisers are hopeful of good weather and strong crowds.
The event is held at the Elmore Events Centre at 48 Rosaia Rd, Elmore from 8.30am to 5pm on October 2 to 4.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for secondary students and children under 12 are admitted free.
