The beef show recorded more than 50 entries at last week’s Numurkah Show.
The beef section has bounced back after a deliberate attempt to lift numbers at the midweek show.
Judge Peter Falls from Finley remarked on the quality of exhibits and said the increased interest was a result of extra work being devoted to the event.
The weather smiled on Wednesday’s show and brought out good crowds and exhibitor entries.
Numurkah Show Society secretary Sue Aldridge said it was a beautiful spring day resulting in a successful event.
She said entries were up in the beef cattle show, strong competition was evident in the dog show and there was great interest in the garden and floral exhibition.
Photography entries lined one wall of the pavilion.
Some equestrian classes were down in numbers, and a change in format for the dairy section saw a bigger range but limited competition.
‘‘We were very pleased with the overall results,’’ Ms Aldridge said.
