Giant work on show at Dookie

The giant long-neck turtle is an important totem of the local Yorta Yorta people and is available for viewing until March 31.

A sculpture will also be on display at the Dookie winery throughout the festival.

Designed and built by John Head, the bass clef sculpture has been made with a combination of natural materials and can be viewed from the winery or up close by walking to the summit of the Pretty Sally hill next to the winery.

Visitors are encouraged to place a stone at the base of the sculpture or weave natural materials and branches into it.

The walk takes about one hour return.

The paddock artwork and sculpture can be seen from the cellar door at 195 Major Plains Rd, Dookie between 11am and 3pm Tuesdays to Thursdays and 11am to 4pm on Fridays to Sundays; the cellar door is closed on Mondays and public holidays throughout the Shepparton Festival.
