The Goulburn Valley Show Jumping Club hosted the Barastoc Tatura Indoor and Outdoor Show Jumping classic at Tatura Park recently.

With three rings being used for competition, there were great prizes on offer adding up to a cash and prize pool worth more than $10000 and classes that catered for all levels of competition.

The highlight of the weekend was the 1.30m class.

Three Olympians were in attendance with Russell Johnstone and Laurie Lever competing throughout the weekend and also Guy Creighton who conducted the course walk.

Guy and his daughter Gemma are on their way to Adelaide Royal and used the event as their final preparation.

Gemma Creighton ended the competition on an absolute high, taking out first, second and third place in the 1.25m open championship on her horses It’s Silkbridge, Gizmo and Kinnordy Guisgard.

Her partner Hugh Buchanan took out fourth place on Gemma’s horse It’s Me.

Isabelle Farmer and her lovely horse Cil Dara Duchess were winners of the best presented combination in ring one and Athena Williamson and her horse WAT Scandia were winners of the best performed combination in ring two.

A top-class field from Victoria, NSW and Queensland contested the event watched by a capacity crowd.
