James Bennett

James started with the McPherson Media Group in July 2017 as a cadet journalist at the Southern Riverina News. During his time he was responsible for writing the weekly news across the four major town in the readership – Berrigan, Finley, Jerilderie and Tocumwal - plus contributing on a part time basis with sister paper the Deniliquin Pastoral Times. James also wrote feature articles for monthly and seasonal publications Farmtalk, Trucktalk, What’s On and Farming Extra. In June 2019 James moved to the Shepparton News. He has already been responsible for running a major campaign highlighting the plight of homelessness in the Shepparton region. James has also contributed to Country News, Don Magazine and Small Farms Magazine.
