Farmers will benefit from an animal health and nutrition webinar to be held next week.
Agriculture Victoria district veterinarian Jeff Cave and sheep industry development officer Nick Linden will present the webinar on Thursday, August 13 from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm.
They will provide farmers with the latest information on livestock nutrition, trace mineral deficiencies, investigate winter/early spring feeding budgeting and the livestock health issues to watch out for.
The webinar is a part of Agriculture Victoria’s beef and sheep networks’ winter/spring webinar series, bringing in expert presenters to help answer farmers’ challenging questions to get them through the next few months.
Agriculture Victoria livestock industry development officer Tess McDougall said this series was aimed at decision making, with a focus on managing pastures, conserving fodder and livestock health and nutrition.
“Producers can join the afternoon sessions via their phone and/or computer, tablet or smartphone,” she said.
“They are easy to join and provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss issues with our presenters.”
For those who are unable to attend, a recording of the webinar will be provided to people who register.
