Held every year the Victorian Young Auctioneers Competition judges competitors on their clarity, diction and the difference between their asking price and the price the cattle actually sold for, with the smaller the difference, the better.
This year's competition will include Cody Fogarty from AWN Shepparton, Reile Murtagh from Corcoran Parker Wodonga and James Wilson from Nutrien Ag Solutions in Bendigo.
The rest of the state will be represented by Ryan Bajada and Matthew Wilson from Elders Pakenham, Harrison Cozens from Kerr and Co Livestock Hamilton, Jack Ginnane from Nutrien Leongatha, Will Jennings from Paull and Scollard Nutrien Ag Solutions, Will Schilling from DMD Horsham and Billy Trinder from Nutriens East Gippsland Livestock.
The 2020 ALPA Victoria Young Auctioneers Competition will be held at Victorian Livestock Exchange, Pakenham on Monday, February 22, 2021.
