Yarrawonga Mulwala Agricultural Show on its way

The Yarrawonga Mulwala Agricultural Show is on its way with this year's show opening on Friday, October 4 at 9am.

The kick-off for the event is a dog show organised by Dogs Victoria, which is free for the viewing public.

Community members will also find three rings of horse events on Friday, with no charge for spectators.

Side shows will open Friday night from 5pm until 9pm with entry cost $5.

Saturday will be filled with many events to enjoy from 9am including the sheep show, pet parade, Wild Action Zoo, wood chopping competition, tractor pull, dog jumping competition, kids' pavilion with face painting, as well as more horse events.

Melbourne-based singer and television talent show X-Factor runner-up in 2011 Andrew Wishart will be providing entertainment for the event.

Mr Wishart has been honing his skills for more than 20 years, playing a number of different styles.

Adult show-goers can quench their thirst at the bar between 3pm and 9pm, and the night will finish with a bang as Club Mulwala's fireworks display lights up the sky. Gates close at 9pm.

Admission costs: Adult $15; children 5-16 years $5; age pension/carer $10 (must provide card); family pass (two adults and their children aged 5-16 years) $40.
