Angus cattle fill Shepparton saleyards

By Geoff Adams

An unusually large consignment of Angus cattle filled a number of pens at Shepparton Regional Saleyards last Tuesday.

Agent Sam Nelson said the 190 Angus heifers from northern Victoria were in very good condition, despite the current dry conditions.

JBS Australia snapped up 146 of the cattle in one go, with an average of $2.55/kg.

Mr Nelson said the scale of this offering was unique for this area.
