Tatura-based livestock agency Mulcahy Nelson Livestock will be renamed AWN Nelson Livestock, after partnering with AWN.
Mulcahy Nelson director Sam Nelson will switch titles to become the AWN Nelson Livestock manager while continuing to run the business out of the Shepparton and Echuca saleyards.
Another AWN business, AWN Robson Donaldson, also runs out of Shepparton Regional Saleyards and will operate alongside the new-look Nelson Livestock.
Mr Nelson said the partnership with AWN would open up new opportunities for their clients.
“I am incredibly excited to be partnering with AWN and providing our clients with access to a network of livestock agents and buyers across rural Australia,” he said.
AWN — formerly known as the Australian Wool Network — is the largest independent wool broker in Australia and a fast-growing rural services provider after making the jump to livestock and property two years ago.
AWN Nelson Livestock is the sixth branch in Victoria to join AWN.
