A descendant of the Mescalero Apache Nation in the south-western United States, Red Horse will be performing cultural dance, singing and drumming, storytelling and speaking of historic events of his people and traditions.
“I have never performed in the Echuca Moama area,” Red Horse said.
“This is a one-off and very special event.”
The show will be performed in traditional regalia, featuring hand beading, feather and leather work, all designed and created by Red Horse’s wife Natalia.
Red Horse said that towards the end of the performance, the audience would be invited to join in interactive dancing.
“It is a very exciting Native American cultural experience,” he said.
“The clothes I will be wearing is traditional regalia that is beaded in traditional lazy stitch beading.
“This complete outfit has taken many hours and many pieces are very intricate. All the pieces are handmade.”
Red Horse will have a stall at Mystic Fair the following day at Rich River Golf Club, selling Native American medicines, jewellery, his CD ' Little Big Heart' and many other Native American products.
“I will be working with people removing emotional and physical pain,” he said.
“The healings are free with the purchase of a healing bracelet.
“I will also be removing negative attachments from people, which is free when a Protection Amulet is purchased.
“I am blessed to make the healing bracelets and the Protection Amulets with the help of spirit.”
