Woolworths has announced plans to end their $1 a litre milk, rising the price of its homebrand milk to $1.10 from tomorrow (February 19).
Australian Dairy Farmers labelled the increase a "major victory", with the extra 10 cents to go directly back to farmers.
The ADF said the group has engaged in "constructive discussions" with Woolworths in recent months around the damage done to the dairy industry by $1 milk and other discounted dairy products.
Federal Minister for Agriculture David Littleproud welcomed the news, but said there is still much more to be done.
