The pair will visit the region on Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19, culminating in a public Drought Impact Summit tomorrow (Tuesday) at Valley Pack in Mooroopna from 9.00am.
‘‘Many constituents in the farming and agriculture industries are hurting at the moment. In regions like ours, tough times in these industries have a significant flow-on effect in the local economy,’’ said Federal Member for Murray Damian Drum, who will accompany the pair.
‘‘Being able to give members of these industries direct access to the Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources and the drought envoy will allow them to highlight the issues in our region, and to explain how they think the government can best help the current situation.’’
