The final patient to be vaccinated at the clinic was Richard Noakes and he was also the very last patient for the NCN Health COVID-19 Vaccination program which is also closed.
The clinic has been operational for over a year, and has administered over 3,000 COVID-19 vaccinations, and over 25,000 throughout the NCN Health vaccination program.
The program has played a vital role in the regions COVID-19 response and greatly contributed to high vaccination rates across the state. Yarrawonga Health thanks all the health professionals and staff from NCN Health and Yarrawonga Health who have done incredible work at the clinic and across the region to serve the community.
Meanwhile after nearly 13,000 COVID vaccinations the Yarrawonga Medical Clinic have also come to the end of their program until further notice.
Sandra gave the first Pfizer vaccine and Mary, the first ever COVID vaccine in Yarrawonga with the clinic starting with AstraZeneca in March 2021. Clyde and Lyndy Ronan said they are continuing with flu, pneumonia, shingles and Japanese Encephalitis and everything in between.
Yarrawonga Health reminds the community that getting vaccinated is still as important as ever, particularly during the height of the winter period and especially if you have not yet received your third dose.
Free COVID-19 vaccines continue to be widely available from your local GP and pharmacies. You can also book online via portal.cvms.vic.gov.au.
