A man in his 50s was injured in a quad bike accident at Drumanure last week.
Paramedics and Numurkah Police were called about 2pm on Monday, February 18 following reports a man on a quad bike had collided with a calf he was chasing.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics at the scene assessed the man, who was in a serious condition with head, chest and shoulder injuries.
An air ambulance helicopter took the man to The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
The hospital was unable to provide an update on the man’s condition by the time Country News went to print.
Numurkah Police Leading Senior Constable Tomas Ino urged all farmers to take every caution possible when operating quad bikes and all-terrain vehicles regardless of how many times they have used them in the past.
