Dogs in action

A trip to the Seymour Working Sheep Dog Trials was a worthwhile one for Victorian Working Sheep Dog Association president Bill Paton, who had success in the Open and Novice trials.

Held across March 29 to 31 at King’s Park, Mr Paton took out the Open trial by a solitary point with his dog Moynalla Annie.

He also took out the Novice trial with Annaway Tao.

Brad Clark, from Pyalong, blitzed the Improvers trial, taking out the winner’s blue ribbon with Hazel and second place with Ruby.

Marc Sibun from Korumburra won the Encouragement trial with Bauers Jim, and John Stewart from Mirboo took home the first prize in the Farmers trial with M8.

In the Penned Time trial, Tatura’s Kevin Wilson took Tintagel Skippa around the course in seven minutes and 38 seconds to take home the Jean and Brian O’Sullivan trophy.
