Cry me a river

I cry.

I cry for the death of the Darling River, I cry for the death of the Barka. I cry about the greed and stupidity, I cry about the narrow-mindedness of what we see now.

I cry and despair at the plight of my fellow Aussies, I cry because their people fought for us Aussies too. I cry about the destruction of ecosystems and wildlife, I cry about the needless deaths of millions of fish.

I cry about the lost industries given up to the big end of town, I cry about the disgusting water the people have to rely on. I cry because Australians are treating other Australians this way, I cry because our rivers will be next.

But mostly I just cry.

I cry.
