The raging Brownlow favourite knows what he'd rather be doing in September.
"That's what we're all battling with, just thinking we have to watch another finals series," the Collingwood star sighed.
"I don't really know what to do with myself. I love footy, I love competing and I wish we were out there for the next few weeks.
"Back to the drawing board, I guess."
The Magpies' season ended at the MCG on Friday night with the heartbreaking 14.12 (96) to 14.9 (93) loss to the Western Bulldogs in the first wildcard final.
Daicos, who joined Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli with a game-high 32 disposals, was asked what went wrong.
"I'd say stoppage ... we got smashed, and also our ball use - it was dysfunctional," he said.
"It didn't look like we had any method to what we were doing. It looked like the Doggies did, so we'll have to improve.
"I'm very flat, it's just an empty feeling."
One thing the Magpies were adamant about was that Tim Membrey deserved no blame for the loss.
The Collingwood forward had a shot at goal on the final siren to win the game, but his kick faded right for a behind.
Membrey had also marked and goalled a few minutes earlier - one of four lead changes in the game's frenetic finish.
"He's understandably flat. We can't echo any more how proud we are of him," Daicos said.
"He put us in the position twice with two unbelievable marks, kicked his first, which was a tough set shot, and then the last one from 50m at the end of the game.
"I'd love to say all of us would kick it. I don't think many of us would kick, it's very hard.
"I love him, I couldn't be more proud of him. It's on us as players, not him."
It was the last game for Steele Sidebottom and Daicos was asked if he knew what fellow Collingwood veteran Scott Pendlebury would do beyond this season.
"I have no idea. We'd love to have him out there again," said Daicos, amid speculation that Pendlebury has also played his last game for the Magpies.
After winning the players' and coaches' awards this week, and being named in the All-Australian team, Daicos is the big favourite to win his first Brownlow in grand final week.
