This year, Dairy Australia has asked Australians to recognise why milk matters and to show appreciation to farmers, producers and communities who make up our Australian dairy industry.
To showcase their support for the hardworking dairy industry, AFL stars Jonathan Brown, Tom Hawkins and Rowan Marshall will participate in the Milk Bottle Challenge to proudly say thank you to Australian farmers this World Milk Day.
The social media-led challenge will involve kicking a ball through milk bottle goal posts, and encouraging friends and followers to do the same — to show appreciation to Australian farmers who work tirelessly during unprecedented times to provide fresh milk every day.
“World Milk Day is a fantastic celebration of all the hard work that our Aussie dairy farmers do every day to keep milk and dairy on our table,” Dairy industry ambassador Jonathan Brown said.
“What better way to show our support than putting the footy boots back on and testing out our kicking skills with the milk bottle challenge, followed by a cold glass of milk.”
This year will mark the 20th anniversary of World Milk Day.
