Echuca Mother’s Day Classic host Emma Godden said participants could choose between the two distance options.
“Come join the fun day with all of us and enjoy.” she said.
The event hub will be based at Hopwood Gardens in Echuca, featuring market stalls, food and music.
Emma said it was important to hold the event locally.
“It is to help women with breast cancer and ovarian cancer,” she said.
She emphasised why events like this matter.
“It shows mothers, women and women figures are strong,” she said.
“It shows people, who have cancer, that they are not alone in this, and it is fun for everyone to get together for Mother's Day and help this amazing cause.”
The Mother's Day Classic raises funds for breast cancer and ovarian cancer research through community fundraising, online donations, merchandise sales and registration fees.
Over 28 years, the Mother's Day Classic community has donated $50.8 million to fund life-saving research.
Thanks to this research, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer has increased from 84 per cent to 92 per cent since 1998.
However, ovarian cancer presents greater challenges, with treatment options showing only marginal improvement over 30 years and no, readily available early detection test.
The average five-year survival rate for ovarian cancer remains just 49 per cent.
Donations can be made through the Mother's Day Classic website or Facebook.
