Hosted by the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the event brought together more than 400 scientists, growers, and industry leaders from across the globe to discuss the future of cherry production.
Representatives from countries including Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Israel, Chile, Spain, Germany and China gathered to share research, discuss emerging challenges and align on strategies to advance global cherry cultivation.

The five- day symposium featured more than 90 oral and poster presentations focused on sustainable orchard management, varietal development, post-harvest technologies and climate resilience.
Sessions explored a wide range of timely topics from heat and frost mitigation strategies to the development of low-chill varieties for expanding regions and climate modelling to better predict bloom shifts and production challenges.
