A joint initiative of Meat & Livestock Australia and Australian Wool Innovation, the It’s Ewe Time forums are designed to increase producer awareness and provide take-home tips of principles, practices and tools to increase profitability and productivity.
MLA’s producer consultation and adoption general manager Michael Crowley said the forums were designed to deliver timely and practical tips and tools for on-farm practice and flock management.
‘‘Ongoing drought conditions across parts of Australia’s sheep production regions have been challenging for many producers, however, the sheepmeat and wool markets have remained solid and resilient,’’ Mr Crowley said.
‘‘The forums will help producers tailor their management to seasonal conditions in their state, prepare and plan for the year ahead, and maximise returns for their sheepmeat and wool enterprises when they go to market.’’
Topics include maximising ewe performance, winning with weaners, making money from measuring, sheep health and dry times decision making.
Tickets for the forums are $35 per person with morning tea and lunch included.
