Rob and Karen Rogers share equally with daughter Brooke the managing of Chester Shorthorns which they began in 2010.
Recognised widely as an outstanding breed, not least for their attractive colour, the temperament and calving ease of Shorthorns produce also a gentle maternal nature in the females.
The breed’s premium meat quality makes them ideal as purebreds or for cross-breeding with beef or dairy herds.
An exciting selection of young bulls will be available during Beef Week, including some of the first bulls sired by Muridale Phantom 10F from Saskatchewan in Canada.
Other bulls sired by JSF Times Square 120G and Saskvalley Yesterday 116Y will also be for sale, in addition to a bull calf from an ET of Muridale Thermal Energy 15A and Sprys Sweet As A Rose J10.
Bayview Boxer Q100 is used extensively for breeding by the Rogers and several bulls sired by him will be available.
The stud also has for sale throughout the year bulls, stud and commercial heifers and pregnancy tested in calf heifers.
A group of the PTIC heifers will also be for sale in January through AuctionsPlus.
Beef Week participants who cannot make it on the day are welcome to call and arrange a day that suits.
The stud will be open from 8.30am on Sunday, January 28 for inspection and private sales at 630 Sheepways Rd, Krowera.
