Mick owned the business for more than nine years and made significant changes during his time in the driver’s seat.
However, the time had come for him to move on to new opportunities, with the business now entering an exciting new chapter under fresh ownership.
Abdul brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, along with being a familiar face in the region after carrying out contracting work locally for many years.
He is committed to ensuring Waterwheel Tyre Centre remains the same friendly and reliable place customers remember, while continuing to build on the services available.
The business provides onsite call-out services for agricultural customers, as well as on-site fitting and repair of truck tyres.
In-store, the team offers wheel alignments for passenger vehicles, 4WDs, caravans and small trucks, along with suspension and brake work, and exhaust supply and fitting.
Abdul hopes to eventually introduce mechanical servicing, further expanding what the centre can offer the Tatura community.
“I’ve really enjoyed settling in, meeting new people and catching up with some familiar faces,” he said.
“Everyone has been incredibly welcoming, and it’s been great to have some of Mick’s staff stay on — that familiarity means a lot to our customers.
“I’m excited to see how we can continue growing and expanding our services for Tatura and the surrounding towns.
“If you have any inquiries, please give us a call — we look forward to helping you.”
