Kyvalley Dairy Group's former chief financial officer Michelle Sonnenschein has stepped up to take on the role of chief executive officer.
Mrs Sonnenschein has been the chief financial officer since 2017 and during this time has been instrumental in leading the upgrade of processes and working on the growth and strategy of the 2030 vision alongside the Kyvalley Dairy Group board.
Mrs Sonnenschein has previously worked with Bega, Murray Goulburn and Freedom Foods.
She is a qualified chartered accountant and completed her undergraduate degree at Charles Sturt University.
Mrs Sonnenschein is passionate about the dairy industry and ensuring its success and longevity within the Australian context.
“The advancement of Michelle into the role of CEO keeps Kyvalley Dairy Group well positioned to achieve our strategic plans as she has been instrumental in developing and leading our exciting growth plans,” managing director Wayne Mulcahy said.
Outgoing chief executive officer Alastair McCredden has taken on the same role at the Remarkable Milk Company, a company that Kyvalley Dairy Group is a major shareholder.
Mrs Sonnenschein began her new role on February 3.
