He may be only 12 months old, but Tony the kelpie is already showing potential. Owned by Locksley's James Brook, Tony loves to travel with his owner and is very loyal. He is a workaholic and hates missing out.

How did he get the name Tony?
I always wanted a dog named Tony.
What's he like as a working dog?
So far he's done pretty well. He has good traits for a yard dog and he has come along very quickly. He's developed quicker than any other dog I've had. He took to yard work like a duck to water. He's predominately a yard dog but can do farm work.
What is Tony's worst habit?
He has FOMO (fear of missing out). He lives in a kennel near the house and if we aren't using him he will squeal and Mum will ring us to use him. That's definitely a kelpie trait.
I hear Tony likes to travel?
If I get in the motorbike, the tractor, the ute or whatever, he'll follow me in. It's hard to keep him out of the back seat.
How does he get on with other dogs or pets?
Great. They (Tony and the other dogs) run around like a big family. Mum and Dad have a cat they (Tony and the other dogs) play around with. The cat is definitely the boss of them.
Has he had any injuries or been involved in any accidents?
No. So far he's stayed out of trouble.
What would you do without him?
I didn't know what to do without Meg (mother of Tony) and I'm not sure what I'd do without him.
