Epping man has 10,000 reasons to smile

By Rodney Woods

Norm Harrison, who lives in Epping, has 10 000 reasons to smile after catching the fourth tagged fish worth the maximum prize money, as part of the Golden Tag competition.

Run by the Victorian Government as an incentive to get people to return to bushfire-affected areas, Norm will want to come back after his time fishing the Mitta Mitta River in north-east Victoria snagged him a brown trout and netted him the $10 000 cheque.

Norm has been fishing the district for more than 40 years and plans to use the money to buy a new car and to support his retirement by topping up his super.
