Cobram Agricultural Show Society president Karen Creighton said in a recent Facebook post the decision was not made lightly.
“The health and safety of everyone involved including members, volunteers community patrons, traders, exhibitors and competitors are our number one priority, and this was our main discussion when making this decision,” she said.
“During this time, we also felt we could not ask our sponsors for sponsorship when they themselves are going through a difficult time.
“We would like to thank them for their continuing support over the years and would love to see them back next year.”
Mrs Creighton thanked the committee for their hard work leading up to the decision, the community, sponsors, competitors and exhibitors for their ongoing support as well as the volunteers who help every year.
“Even though we will not be holding a show we are currently looking into running some competitions online so please watch our Facebook page for details,” she said.
“We hope you all understand this difficult decision and once again thank you for you ongoing support.”
