Climate webinars to be hosted by Agriculture Victoria

By Rodney Woods

Agriculture Victoria will host a number of climate and agricultural science talks in its latest lunchtime webinar series.

Having proved popular the first time around, the lunchtime webinars are designed for busy people chasing fast facts about climate and agriculture research.

Participants will hear from a broad range of expert speakers from organisations such as Agriculture Victoria, North East Catchment Management Authority and the University of Tasmania.

Agriculture Victoria climate development officer Heather Field said farmers, land managers, service providers, researchers and educators were encouraged to subscribe to Agriculture Victoria's climate updates and newsletters.

“There is statewide and national relevance to our newsletters and talks; from seasonal risk and climate change projects, to impacts, adaptation opportunities and innovative farming practices,” she said.

“These webinars are a great way for busy people to stay informed on the latest climate science and hear from experts as you have your lunch, or by watching the recordings at another suitable time.”

The next webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15 from noon.
